This infill project started by subdividing the site and shifting/renovating the existing 1970’s home - it was an impressive sight to see an entire house being lifted by crane, spun 180 degrees, then placed back down onto a new subfloor. The new build part of the project was to be a two-level, two living, four bedroom + office family home. Our client wanted very simple ‘box’ type forms, clad mainly in Abodo, with some stackbond block veneer on the Ground Floor. Privacy was also important, and was achieved by using Abodo screens, wing walls and strategically sized and placed windows. Mature trees on site were also retained - a luxury not often possible for new-build projects.
